Welcome to Viktoris Sweet and Small :) My name is Viktorija Siskova and I am a passionate macaron and pastry artist based in Norfolk County, United Kingdom.
My baking journey has started when I was very little - I spent hours with my mum and grandma in the kitchen helping them. Even though I enjoyed following step-up-step recipes, I was always encouraged to try new things which not only awakened curiosity towards using different techniques and ingredients, but also helped me be creative.
I have always been interested in improving my baking skills, which led to buying many baking related books and receiving baking-related gifts. I would spend hours experimenting and developing my skills in the kitchen on my own or with my mum, and we would then have an afternoon coffee break and eat that delicious piece of a cake or a cupcake.
I was always passionate about baking small desserts for my friends and family. seeing them enjoying my delicacies made me extremely happy. I used to be that friend who had a sweet treat for any occasion.
Moving to UK and being far away from the rest of my family made me homesick. To keep me busy and distracted from those feelings, I started baking again. my love for macarons happened on one gloomy day back in 2016 when my son and I were passing by a local café and a stunning macaron tower full of colourful cookies caught our attention. we couldn't resist buying some to try and it was the love from the first bite!
It took me a good year and a half until I was happy with the results. I had numerous failures which motivated me to keep trying and even though my macaron baking journey wasn’t the easiest, I have managed to achieve great and consistent results.
Taste is my top priority. It is all about the true flavours that come from the best ingredients. This leads to the best possible experience when you bite into the macaron. It has been 5 years now that I have been baking these delicious cookies and experimenting with flavours - with increasing demand I have decided, I am now ready to share my passion and knowledge to help you achieve great results too and make your loved ones as well as your customers to come back for more.
